I read Pranita's Trip to Atlanta by Pranita Tallapragada! This story is nonfiction and true experience! It tells about a girl named Pranita who goes to Atlanta, Georgia to visit her cousins that lived there in their apartment complex! She first was sleeping in the car by her sister peacefully and then the car stopped!!! She opened her eyes, suddenly ran out of the car, and there were her cousins sitting on the steps of their apartment! (the CROP-QV thingies are shown in bold)
The next day she went to the Georgia aquarium where there was and enormous, filled with water tunnel with lots of fishies and sharks, and other sea animals. Her favorite fish was the barracuda because she got scared when it came closer, showing its large and sharp teeth! I think she likes being scared! Because she got scared at her favorite fish! :) After that Pranita was tired but she still got to go to the Coca Cola Factory! (shown below) And then she got to drink 60 kinds of sodas but then had to go to the bathroom! :-) What Pranita
The ending was happy and sad at the same time! Pranita cried when she had to leave her cousins, but she really wanted to go back home too because she missed her own house! Her other cousins called to ask her what happened at Atlanta! So she began to them..... (that's how the story started)
Here are my reactions for Pranita's Trip to Atlanta. Why did Pranita even GO to Atlanta? To visit her cousins? Or what? I think Pranita liked the trip to Atlanta and then wanted to go home near the end of the trip because she was homesick. This story reminds me of going to China last summer to visit my relatives. And it reminds me of me going to Atlanta. And WHAT did Pranita eat during the time she was in Atlanta? Did she eat fried jellyfish or cheese in spicy orange cheese sauce? (that is an Indian dish that is SO delicious) I predict that she went to McDonald's or something like that and ate there. And what did Pranita do when she was in the Coca Cola factory? What was in there? In the factory I could visualize a bunch of huge machines with different colors of Coca Cola in them. How did they make Coca- Cola? I really wanted to know how they make it. What were the 60 kinds of sodas? What were they called? How did they taste like? Was there a cheese soda? Or macaroni? When there was a bee sting I could visualize Pranita screaming when the stick pushed her back. What was in the CNN newsroom? What did they do there? Was it a museum or something like that? If I wrote this story then I would add those things. I felt like crying when Pranita left because it must have been pretty sad. I think this story is a little boring because it doesn't have a lot of exciting things, except for the bee sting. That was pretty interesting. My favorite part of the trip was where she ate because if she ate orange cheese sauce with cheese I'm really jealous. But I really liked this story because it was interesting, fun, boring, weird, really interesting, makes you want to jump around, makes you want to eat cheese, nonfiction, and true experience at the exactly same time.
