Freedom's Wings
The book I am reading right now is called Freedom's Wings. It is about a boy named Corey who is being held captive as a slave in Kentucky. It talks about his journey North on the Underground railroad. First his father leaves on the underground railroad then a man comes to help Corey and his mother Angel head North. They hear his father was cut by slave catchers but then nothing after that. They decide to go on the journey with Mr.Renfield. They can only travel by night and they use bird calls to get from one place to another. As they get closer to the Ohio River Corey must keep going on this journey alone because his mother must stay until her baby arrives. One day he looks out the window because he heard a birdsong and there was his father they travel back to get his mother and new baby sister and they travel into Canada where slave catchers can't reach them. Throughout the book Corey must make challenging decisions and he learns to be very brave.

My name is brain Brian
in this book Brian finds out that he has a disease called dyslexia. what dyslexia is,is a learning disability that is most common for happening during reading or writing what doctors have seen is that the people with dyslexia say that "the letters are dancing" my dancing they mean the letters are floating around and they cant read what the word actually says all they see is the letters dancing and they can't make a word out of it.
well any way lets get back to the book!
Brian and his friends are sitting in there secret hide out the day before summer break is over. they all absolutely HATE school but this year Brian wants to try to do his best that he can.
there is one little problem though it is that he doesn't want his friends to think he is a nerd so he doesn't tell them.
Brian and his friends decide that they will put money in a pot each week and they will earn money from the part for each joke they make.so no one knows that Brian has dyslexia so what happens is Brian is spelling his name up on the board when he accidentally spells brain. so that is because the letters are "dancing" in his head. he doesn't realize so he gets confused when everyone is laughing and then he looks and sees what he has done wrong.he didn't mean to that but he just earned some points! so he is excited about that but he was sorta confused about why he wrote that on the board when he didn't even mean to??????????? later this week his teacher ask him if he could have his parents come in to talk about something. he gets worried but then it ends up being about a disability that the teacher thinks Brian might have. his parents agree to get him a tutor and get tested so they know he is properly diagnosed and they have not just made a mistake. they find out that Brian is dyslexic and Brian goes to a tutor every day after school and he is okay with that but he just has to hide it from his friends because again he is afraid they might think he is a nerd or a braniac or something like that when really all Brian is trying to do is to get some help so he doesn't fall anymore behind.then Brian is told that he has to do a project on Canada geese with his enemy Isabella! while he is recording sound on the top of the hideout he sees two of his friends from the club with two other people and it is a rule that you cant go with any other people in less everyone in the hideout agreed. and obviously they all didn't wow i cant believe this is what Brian was thinking.after all the rules we agreed on together they are just breaking the rules?i can't believe them would they really do that? wow i know i never would!!that as you can probably see it shocked Brian a lot.poor Brian he was just trying to keep his dyslexia and wanting to do better in school private.after that Brian didn't think that he trusted those 2 guys with the clubs pot money???????????????
I'm going to leave you hanging. so get the book it is really good it was for a research project but turned out to be one of my favorites.
thank you for reading

The Girl Who Cried Monster!
I Have read the book Goosebumps: The Girl Who Cried Monster. In this book there is a girl named Lucy Dark and she is spending her summer vacation annoying her six-year old brother with minor scares and participating in the local library's reading program. It is called 'Reading Rangers' and run by the unpleasent Mr. Mortman (who always has wet hands). He encourages Lucy to read the classics, but she is only interested in monster tales. In a failed attempt to retrieve forgotten rollerblades, Lucy sees Mortman transform into a monster while feeding his pet turtles. Lucy tries to tell her friends and family, but no one believes her because of her monster obsession. She uses the reading club to hide in the library again and witnesses Mortman transform for a second time. She sees him eat a turtle!
Lucy runs to the locked door and realizes the door is locked from the inside. She makes it out of the library again. She runs home and sees her friend Aaron, who she then tries to convince that she saw a monster. He doesn't believe her. She goes into her house and tries to convince Randy about Mr. Mortman, but he too doesn't believe her. Mortman shows up at her house to return a forgotten bookbag and ask if she stayed behind. She lies. Mortman leaves as her mother shows up. Lucy bribes Aaron into spying on Mortman as again, no one believes her. Aaron sees him transform but is unreliable later. Another round of hiding in the library nets Lucy photographic evidence, but Mortman sees her and gives chase. Lucy escapes. Her film ends up showing an empty desk; Mortman seemingly does not resolve on film.
Lucy and Aaron tail Mortman home. She sees him eating several live fish, snails and eels from an aquarium. Aaron does not, as he is looking for a ladder. Lucy is caught but gives a convincing cover story. She is later forced to attend the Reading Rangers meeting. Mortman locks the door and makes her feel threatened. She spills part of a card catalogue, distracting the adult and allowing her to escape. She meets up with Aaron, who had seen Mortman transform and is willing to talk. Lucy's parents, upon hearing the news, invite Mortman for dinner. Halfway through it is revealed that Lucy's family reveal they are monsters. To the cheers of the kids, Mortman is eaten by the parents.

Dark Vision
I'm reading Dark Visions by L.J. Smith. There are three books in the trilogy. It is about a psychic named Kaitlyn (Kait). Kait has a reputation of being a witch because when ever she draws something, it comes true. She doesn't just randomly draw them, when she draws the drawings, its not really her drawing it, its her psychic sense. The other reason (I think this is a weird reason) is because of her eyes. They are smokey blue, and at the outside of each iris, and in the middle, were darker rings. People thought they were strange eyes, evil eyes. Eyes that saw what weren't meant to be seen. She accepts an invitation to go to the Zetes Institute, where she can start fresh, with 4 other teens with psychic powers.
The part that I'm at, Kait, Gabriel, Rob, Anna, and Lewis (all kids from the Institute) are in Oregon looking for "a white house at a cliff with a beach". They found out that Mr. Zetes and Joyce (people in charge of the institute) are evil. They are trying to use the psychic powers for something bad.
Some character motivations I noticed:
- The only reason Kait wanted to go to California to the Zetes Institute is because she thinks that her psychic power is really bad. She thinks that she isn't predicting things with her drawings, she's making them happen. She wants to learn how to control her psychic power and she wants to start fresh. Apparently, they also offered her a lot of money for a scholarship to whatever college she wants when shes done at the Institute.
- They ran away from the institute because Joyce and Zetes are evil. They are trying to kill the teens. Kait and Rob found files in Joyce's office. They said: KAITLYN BRADY FAIRCHILD PROJECT BLACK LIGHTING and there was one like that for all of them. They found another one that said: SABRINA JESSICA GALLO, BLACK LIGHTNING PILOT STUDY. Then there was the word TERMINATED. Then they found out that Sabrina and the other kids in the pilot study went insane and Zetes is controlling them.
Thats all I have read. Thanks for reading my blog!!!
Hardy boys, The sting of the scorpion
Dear Ms.English and Class,
I am Reading the hardy boys, the sting of the scorpion. The most important charactor is the hardy boys and their dad because they are the ones solving the mysteries. the author helps me get to know the charactor by decribing the way they look and they even include some pictures that help me see what they look like. I learned from the author that someone in the book, Chet, likes to eat when he is nevous, mad, sad, Etc. The charactors in the story get along good because they are all friends except for the bad guys and the hardy boys. In this book the charactors don't have alot of choices when they are in trouble but do judo or run away! When Frank hardy, the older brother, runs away then the younger brother Joe does the same so that he does not get caught by the bad guys or sometimes police men that are just phonies. Sometimes after thwy complete a mystery Frank and Joe become alot more happy because they completed another mystery. Frank and Joes friends are a small role because they only help them on rides and not in the real solving like Chet is.
Uglies
Summary: It's something like 500 years in the future. This bacteria thing wiped out most people that live today (called "Rusties"). Tally Youngblood lives at that time in the future. There, normal people are called "ugly" until they turn 16, and they get cosmetic surgery that makes them pretty and bubbleheaded. Tally is younger, than most of her friends, and they all turned pretty already. Tally can't wait.
But now she is all alone because her friends left to go to New Pretty Town because they turned pretty. Tally really wants to talk to her best friend, Peris, so she goes to Pretty town to crash a party.
But when she is there, Peris doesn't really want to talk to her until she's pretty. Then, she grabs a bungee jacket (a jacket that makes you bounce when you hit the ground) and jumps off the roof.
A skinny girl called Shay finds her, and they find out that they share the same birthday. But Shay, unlike Tally, doesn't really want to be pretty.
Shay teaches Tally how to hoverboard, and they become really close friends.
Months Later...
Shay runs away to escape the pretty operation. Tally's pretty sad. Special Circumstances (which are people that fix things) get Tally and make her find Shay and bring her back. They say that either Tally finds Shay, or never turn pretty at all.
Guess what. Tally agrees to find Shay and turn her in. That's how much she wants to be pretty.
So, Tally needs to find Shay. When she finds her she finds out how "fun" it is to be in the New Smoke. So, she forgets that she has to act as a spy and she actually lives there for a while. Tally has a friend, David, that sort of makes her remember that she was supposed to be a spy, so she takes off the heart pendant that the Specials gave her to contact them. David's mom, Maddy, told Tally why she escaped being pretty. Tally finds out that being pretty makes you think you're better than everyone else and makes you bubbleheaded. Then, Maddy's found a cure for prettiness but doesn't want to use it yet. When Tally tries to burn the pendant, it sends a signal to the Specials and they come to get Shay. Shay is really mad, angry, and irritated at Tally. The Specials take Shay away and make her pretty. Maddy wants Shay to try the cure, but Shay doesn't want to, since the surgeons made her bubbleheaded and dumb. So Tally lets herself be experimented on and the book ends with her wanting to be pretty.
The main character is Tally. I think that she is important because she's what the whole story is about; who everyone revolves around. Another character is Shay. She's important to the book because it sorta depends on Shay, because she runs away and Tally has to chase her back. Another main character is David, but he isn't that important. David is important because Tally becomes a good friend of him, and lets her see his mom.
Shay running away affected Tally because Tally had to go find her and bring her back. Tally had a choice to bring Shay back or never be pretty, so Tally actually chose to bring Shay back. So that means that Shay wasn't as important as being pretty to Tally.
At the end of the book, Tally changes because at first she thought the best thing in life was to be pretty, but at the end she realized that friends were more important. The author helps for you to get to know Tally by describing that she had "a large nose" and other things.

The battle of the labyrinth
The book im still reading is The battle of the labyrinth. So far in the book, Percy and his friends are still in the labyrinth and found them selfs at a barn which is known as The Triple G Ranch and percy made a bet with a two-headed dog Geryon that he could clean the stable where the fire breathing horses are of his friends would be fed to kronos (percys enemy he must fight in the underworld). While they were at the ranch, percy saw Nico (son of hades who is the god of the underworld) and he's mad at percy for letting his sister Bianca die when it wasnt percys fault.
Some of the actions that percy had was when he was arguing with Geryon and almost got in a fight. No emotions have accured in the book yet but I predict pretty soon Annabeth (percys friend) and percy will have a relation-ship together.
Sincerely,
Mark

Allie Finkle's Rules for Girls: The New Girl
Dear all readers,
Lately I have been reading a book called, "Allie Finkle Rules for Girls." Allie is the new girl at Pine Heights Elementary. Just like me I was the new girl at Mills Park Elementary, but now we are almost done with 5th grade so I guess you can say that I am not a new student anymore. Allie Finkle has 3 friends/classmates ( Caroline, and Sophie, and of course Erica.)
The reason why I picked this book because I moved from a school that I loved and it was hard for me so i decide to read book that had the same experienced I have been through
Questions that I can answer: Are there any powerful characters in the story? Yes there is the main character is Allie and her friends/classmates. What makes the that way? Well first of, Allie is on the front of the book so she is most likely going to be on the main character. Her friends, definitely Erica because she lives right next to Allie. How did the characters int he story feel about one another? Allie and her classmate Rosemary do not get along in the story, Rosemary dose not like Allie and wants to beat her up after school. Allie dose not know what to do I guess you can say that this not going to be a good year at Pine Heights Elementary. The reason I know this is because someone wouldn't just beat you up for know reason. I think that Allie should tell a grown up or some one she trust.
Hey if you are a new girl or boy at a school you will probably understand what Allie Finkel is going through might not be difficult for some one who has experienced it before. So tell me do you think you will ever be able to a school that you love and care for so much like Allie did?
Stargazer
I am reading the book called Stargazer, By Claudia Gray. It is the second book to the Ever night novels and is AWESOME!!!!! The main character is named Bianca and her boyfriend Lucas.I am on pg. 113 and I will tell you what has happened so far.
Bianca is a vampire. Lucas (her boyfriend) is a vampire hunter. there is bound to be trouble there isn't it???Anyways, she and him cannot be together so since Bianca is still at
Ever night Academy she cannot be with Lucas because Ever night is a school for Vampires. And so one night Bianca tells her parents she is going to go watch a meteor shower over the weekend and camp out. (She loves Astronomy so her parents would fall for the lie.)SO would her best friend/roommate, Raquel.
I bet you figured out by now where she was headed. She was going to sneak out and go find Lucas because Lucas had come to near Ever night on a hunt. But on the way to meeting up with Lucas, Bianca finds a vampire 14- year-old girl that she soon will find out is someone very important. The girl says that a man is following her and she wanted to act like she had ran into a friend, so she would be safe. So Bianca obviously couldn't refuse to her and told her that she could walk with her until she and Lucas meet up at the train station. But when they get to the train station Bianca confronts the girl and tells her that she wants some privacy when Lucas comes because (I really don't blame her for saying this.) they haven't seen each other in 6 months. The girl says "Of course" but then Lucas comes and things get ugly. The girl is a vampire and Lucas is a vampire hunter soo the girl and Lucas are in danger. But Lucas would never ever hurt Bianca...... Lucas loses and the girl runs off.
But when Lucas drops Bianca back at Evernight, Bianca runs into friend Balthazer and he tells her that the vampire girl was his Sister Charity. From the 1500 when he was changed.WHOA!!!!
BYe for now

Miley Cyrus Miles to Go
So far in the book Miley is stuck in middle school with the goths, nerds, the cools, and the bullies. To her excitement she tries out for the part of Hannah Montana. That means skipping her cheer leading competions and practice. She keeps getting called back to L.A for more auditions and her mom just doesn't want to keep doing that, but her dad wants her to keep going because he thinks they've gone to far to quit.
The most important character is Miley because she is the main character.

The Bad Beggining
I am still reading the book: A Series of Unfortunate Events: The Bad Beginning. As I told you before that Count Oalf is a mean person and he lets the Baudelaire orphans do all chores and other things that children must not do. So right now in the story, the Baudelaire orphans went to see Mr. Poe because they don't want to stay in the Count's house so they went to where Mr. Poe works and told him everything bad that happened to them by The Count. Mr. Poe tells them that they need to adjust themselves by the house. When the Baudelaires heard that they went back home. But before they went home they visited Justice Strauss to get some books from her library. The Orphans went home and then read their book that they got. The next morning they woke up, rather than a note ( that tells them what chores to do) from Count Oalf they found Count Oalf himself !!! He was in the kitchen cooking oatmeal for them!!!!! " Good morning orphans" he said. " I've cooked oatmeal for you. I got a phone call yesterday from Mr. Poe that you guys went to his office and told him that I was not a good father!!!!!!
One of the main characters in the story is Count Oalf and along the story he changed to a evil person to a nice obedient father to the orphans. I wonder why he did that??? I think he might have another plan to ruin the children.....!!!!!
Read my next blog to find out what happens.......
Sincerely,
PT
Midnight Alley (third book out of The MorganVille Vampires)
Now in Midnight Alley, Claire has pledged herself to Amelie, she is the most powerful vampire in the town, and the only one who can turn you into a vampire. The protection her contract secures does little to reassure those closest to Claire. But all of a sudden people are turning up dead in MorganVille, and an ancient bloodsucker extends an invitation for private lessons at his house, since Claire is really smart. Claire will soon discover--and it will give a terrifying new meaning to night school.
I am at the part where Claire just got home from a guy named Myrnin's house in the dark alley that everybody says not to go in, because you will not return. Myrnin is a guy who needs someone a little smarter than Claire to teach. You could call Myrnin a sick creepy guy. Shane was about to leave the house, but he didn't. He left because he wanted to help his dad kill vampires with a clean conscience. He ended up staying. Micheal just found out about Claire pledging herself to Amelie, which means Amelie can control Claire as in tell her what to do. Micheal is upset with Claire because she never talked to Micheal, Eve, or Shane about this. Claire decided to pledge herself to Amelie because if she didn't Amelie said something bad will happen to her friends. She must do everything Amelie says now. Amelie makes her go to night school, and the vampire teacher is crazy. He had to be locked up in a cage. People keep turning up dead either in the Glass House or in the backyard garbage cans.
I think that Monica has something to do with it.
A question of mine is Why does Monica want to hang out with Claire and be best friends with her even if she has tried to kill Claire?
Hope You enjoyed!

The Battle of The Labyrinth
The book im curently reading right now is called The battle of the labyrinth which is part of the percy jackson series. In this book Percy Jackson starts his high school year at Goode high school and it wasnt how Percy would expect his first day. Percy gets attacked by vampire cheerleaders and meets a girl (from The Titans Curse) last winter named Rachel Elizabith Dare who helped Percy get away from skeletons. Percy teels Rachel that the gods (Posiden, Zeus and Athena) were real. Rachel almost died last winter whem percy accidentaly swung a sward at her but she never got hurt because the sword only kills half-blood (half human half demigod) and Rachel really gave Percy the shout at him. If you guys are wondering what a Labyrinth is it is a maze.
Sincerely,
Mark

The Vampire Diaries
In the book series 'The Vampire Diaries' I think that Elena Gilbert is the most important character because it always comes back to her and most of the story follows her. And it doesn't follow any of the other characters home or any place unless Elena is there to.
Elena is in love with Stefan and I know that because she swore with her own blood that she wouldn't rest until Stefan belongs to her. Bonnie, Meredeth, and Elena all like each other because their all best friends. Caroline hates Elena now because she thinks that Elena is a mean popular girl now that shes Queen of the school.
The teacher that finds enjoyment kids weaknesses in class has a small roll but is necessary
because Stefan spoke up for the girl the mean teacher was making fun of (the girls name is Bonnie).
Tango, An Island Dog
He was born like most pure breeds....his mother is put in cell and forced to give birth or she will be sent to a pound (Pound: noun The stupidest idea ever thought up by a animal abuser). She eventually learnt to stop naming her little puppies...but eventually she has a new litter and its not taken away by the owner for 3 weeks! As she names each puppy the main character waits for his...hoping its manly (:P) Before he can he is taken away by the owner and shipped off to new york at a pet store...and adopted by some rich people.
They name him tango and he does not appreciate it at all (Not manly enough...) but grows to love his owner! The owner eventually buys a ship for her husband and off to see they go!
BOOM!
CRASH!
*RAINS SOUNDS*
SPLASH!
And tango is in a coma in a fishing net!
He is somewhat adopted and is taken care of...but the owner hopes his family (who may be dead) will pick him up....so she doesn't name him! (she calls him pup)
There is More to it but that is the most part of what i read so here are some opinions
- I find the most powerful character in this story is his new owner. She saved him in that fishing net so he did not drown and if she gives up on him he probably will die!
- The author expresses the main character in first person (changing roles depending on the chapter, tango one...then the new owner the next) and he is really depressed. He is in a lot of pain (thanks to human culture: I DON'T CARE ABOUT ANIMALS I JUST LIKE TO EAT THEM! THEY DON'T HAVE FEELINGS!) (Execpton: Religions like Hindu and Shinto) so he wants to die and have it quick and painless (that's the way you wanna go) but he can't and he just wants his old life back!
- The character also doesn't have many choices and it appears that we control his fate because we give him no power...we have the choice if we want help him or kill him (its our fault he was caught in a fishing net, and stolen from his mother)
MY POINT IS THAT WE SHOULD TREAT ANIMALS LIKE OURSELVES, GIVE THEM A CHOICE, AND BE NICE
(EVEN IF HUMANS DON'T PLAY WELL WITH OTHERS)
Millions
The book I am reading is Millions by Frank Cotterell Boyce. The Powerful Chararcters are Damian, Anthony, and the dad. Damian is powerful because he found the money and he is the smartest one out of all of them. Anthony is powerful because he spends all the money and he is really not to smart. The dad is powerful because he doesnt know about the money and if he figures out he will be mad. Damian is the most important because he is the main character.
Sincerley,
RJM
Black Storm Coming
The main and in the story may not be physically or mentally strong characters include Althea,Coltons 10 year old sister who's more like a mom than a 5th grader, their mom who was sick from giving birth to their baby Willie(who died......R.I.P),Mr.Roberts the Pony Express mamger, and Jerimaeh a guy who despite despising him, was saved by him.
Colton Wescott is probobly the most inportant because he was doing the work for the family and earning money too. It is easier to understand Colton because the author used flashbacks and descriptive words. Some of the Characters liked or hated Colton.

Skinny Bones
I have been reading the book Skinny Bones and its by Barbra Park. Its about a rude boy and he makes funny jokes. He gets on a commercial and acts like a baby and everyone at school makes fun of him. He made a fan club but its only a cat and a drooling toddler.
Some questions are why he was picked to do the commercial and why did he try to start a fan club.

eleven
i am reading the book eleven by Lauren Myracle!
i think she wrote this book just to show everyone how a normal pre- teen girl's life is!
Winnie is the main character in her book! so lets get started so you can learn more about this! so Winnie and her best friend Amanda decide to plan Winnie's birthday party! they plan it in art class since there teacher let them sit next to each other! now that school is over..Amanda tells Winnie that she has a very special gift for her! Winnie ask what is it????????Amanda Say's you really think I'm going to tell you? just wait until tonight! Winnie and Amanda both go home from school! Winnie is still wondering what the present Amanda is giving her will be???? i would be wondering to!
Winnie See's Amanda's car pull up and goes and runs to go get the door! (that's usually what i do to because i get very excited about having a party) and i think the author does too especially because she put in the book! slowly the guest start coming but when they come all they want to do is play on the electric chair and Winnie wants to do the stuff that she and Amanda planned together! she asked them if they wanted to go make pizza's and they said yes so then they all got to eat the pizzas and then they had cake and then it was present time the time they (Winnie and Amanda at least) had all been waiting for! that is my favorite part too!
Winnie tried to open Amanda's first because she was very anxious too! but then Amanda grabbed it away from her..she opened everybody Else's and she got some pretty good stuff! and now she gets to open Amanda's yippee!! THE BOX IS EMPTY!! ALL IT HAS IS A NOTE IN IT! the note says please take care of me!!
and Winnie said take care of what?????????? and then there was her mom walking through the kitchen with a kitten in her hands!! Winnie was so excited!! THANK YOU AMANDA!!!
then everyone else still wanted to do the electric chair but Winnie didn't care because she had her brand new Kittie cat from Amanda!
thank you for reading my post!

Fever 1973
Mattie is 14 years old. One day, she finds out that Polly (who was her friend) died of a fever. Soon 100 people died. Her mother gets the fever and convinces Mattie and her grandpa to evacuate. Suddenly her grandpa gets yellow fever too. Mattie herself gets sick but survives so she is immune to the yellow fever
Now, more than a thousand people have died. Mattie returns to her house. She finds out that lots of things in her house were stolen. This day when she's sleeping, these thieves come and steal her stuff and kill her grandpa. And she still doesn't know where her mother is. . .
Mattie goes to Eliza' house and cares for sick children that almost die. When the frost comes, the fever is gone and they are happy again.
Mattie said that Eliza was "black but she was free and Philadelphia was the best place for free slaves". Mattie, unlike some people, treated Eliza like everyone else and like she was family. She never mentioned that Eliza was black more than once. If you skipped the first part of the book, you would never know that Eliza was black. I think Eliza treats all people equally no matter how they're like.
I think Laurie Halse Anderson wrote this book because she wanted to put a picture into your mind about the yellow fever in 1793 and how it was like. You could imagine streets full of dead people, people bleeding, and the air smelling like something rotten and how hard it was for the people there. Mattie took everything easily, sort of, and it was hard for her to believe (in the beginning) that there was an epidemic until lots of people had died.
I think the author feels that Mattie was really brave and inquisitive and intended for her to be that way. I think she feels that way because she wanted her audience to feel what she felt, and to think that it was a really horrible time to be in.
The author began with Mattie slapping at a mosquito. That makes sense because the yellow fever was spread by mosquitoes.
If I was Mattie, I would be be really scared; family members died, mom missing, etc. Mattie was really brave to overcome all that.

Avalon
Sorry i havent been on in a while. Any ways i am now reading the third book of Avalon called "Cry of the Wolf" I think this book is awesome because it is very descriptive and it uses words like inhuman and moist mist and well you know what i mean. I think the auther's purpose of writing this book is for the intrest of the readers an dfor some thing to do while the auther, Rachel Roberts, is not doing anything.lol
In the book some girls named Adriane, Kara, and Emily, best friends all can talk to all kinds of creatures including things like dragons or magical creatures. Adriane's best friend which is a mist wolf ( a mist wolf is a wolf that can turn into a heavy mist when ever it pleases ) has gone with his cland but is sad to leave Adriane as well as she was so very sad. I think the writer has been thru something like this and has lost her friend as well so that might be her veiwpoint.
next time,
sn

The Vampire Diaries: The Return: Shadow Souls
Dear readers,
I finished reading The Vampire Diaries: The Return: Shadow Souls. Elena came back from the dead....... again. She died as a vampire saving Damon and Stefan from Katherine. 500 years ago, Damon and Stefan loved Katherine and they found out she was a vampire. She changed them but they said that she had to choose one of them. She pretened to die hoping that that would stop them from hating each other. That didn't work and they killed each other and became vampires. 500 years later (now) Katherine came back and was trying to kill them. Elena killed her but Elena died too. When she came back to life, the burst of Power brought 2 kitsune. They are like werewolves except they turn into foxes and they are more powerful. They're names are Shinichi and Missao. They are brother and sister but thay don't act like it (creepy). Damon helped them lock Stefan into Shi no Shi (translated to Death of Death or Gods of Death or The New Death.) He did that because he says he wants Elena to be his Princess of Darkness. Translation: He wants her all to himself. Now Elena, Matt, Mereidith, Bonnie and Damon going to the Dark Dimension to free Stefan with the clues Misao gave them. The Dark Dimension is a horrible place with vampires, demons, and kitsune in charge with alot of human slaves. They meet 3 people who are actually nice and help them: Lady Ulma, Lucen, and Sage. When they free Stefan, they still have one problem: Misao and Shinichi are possessing the town and they are trying to stop it. Elena has another problem: does she belong with Damon or Stefan???
In the book, I had alot of pictures in my head. Here are some of the words L.J. Smith used to describe.
- Possession in the 21st Century??? That was a newspaper headline and it kind of describes how possessed teens (12-18) are acting. It seems really creepy.
- Like Aladin's cave Lady Ulma describes that as how her father's secret jewel cave looked like. I'd love to go there!
- She guessed that this woman, a slave for more than 22 years, must find true freedom difficult to believe in. That kind of shows how hard the human's lives are. All the demons, vampires, and kitsune are in charge. Most of the slave owners don't care about their slaves. Ulma's master was really mean, he killed 5 or 6 of his slaves a year.
- She was going clad in tulle and jewelry, perfume & paint, to go see her Stefan To me, that shows how much Elena loves Stefan. Stefan's jail is discucting, has lice, rats and Stefan is half dead and she is going there really fancy and pretty.
- We who are so lucky as to be born into the light- who see it every day and never think about it, we are blessed. We could have been born shadow souls who live and die in crimson darkness, never even knowing that somewhere that is something better. Even though the Dark Dimension isn't real, I think L.J. Smith is trying to say how lucky we are to have light annd freedom. That part of Elena's diary shows how grateful she is to be back on Earth instead of the Dark Dimension- where the sun never stops setting (crimson darkness, everything looks redish) and where humans are slaves.
I think the next book is called "Midnight". I think it's the third one of "The Return"

The Titans Curse
New Moon
The book that i am reading so far is called New moon the main characters in this book is Bella, Jacob, and Edward. This book is about a girl (Bella) who has just turned 18.She has a boy friend who is a vampire and he want s to become one to so that she wouldn't age. Alice (a family member of Edward) loves Bella as a sister and cared so much about that she threw Bella a b-day party. But Edward didn't approve.Edward always is there for Bella =he is always there when she sleeps but on some nights he wouldn't show up Bella was worried she was worried about why wouldn't he be her when i sleep or when I'm at school Bella asked him as she showed up at her house and told Bella that he didn't want her any more and that he was leaving, Bella was hart broken and would have nightmares every thinking of him.the only person that would make her happy was Jacob.
Stephenie Meyer (author) has really got me into the character, she told me how much she loves Edward a doesn't want to let him go. Stephenie really got the character in my mind and i pictured all the thing she wrote in my mind. The type of pictures i had in my mind was When Edward left Bella, and when Bella was riding a motorcycle and hit her head all those pictures. I felt bad for Bella because the person she loved left her just because a lot of people are noticing that he is not ageing, and i bet that is really hard for her.
The Bad Beginning
I am reading the book, Series Of Unfortunate Events: The Bad Beginning. In this book 3 children named Violet, Klaus, and Sunny Baudelaire look for a home after their mom and dad die in a fire. Mr.Poe, who is the friend of the Baudelaire's father helps them out by taking them to Count Oalf who is their relative to live in his house for a while. Count Oalf is a mysterious person who has pictures, tattoo's, and other stuff of an eye. The Baudelaire's look very confused after they entered into Count Oalf's house. They wanted to go back to the mansion that they and their family used to live and not stay in a house filled with eyes around them. But guess what, they had to do chores everyday and do all types of cleaning. Do you think they can get a better home from someone else or just stay with Count Oalf ???? The author used allot words that were confusing but the most confusing one was to be " Perished". I looked in the dictionary and it said that it means " Die". Also I think the author used these kinds of words is that he doesn't want to get us bored with the same words everyday. I hope you enjoyed my blog. I hope you would be waiting for the next one!!!!!!
Sincerely,

van alen legacy
The book I am blogging about is the Van alen legacy by Melissa de la cruz.It is aout when Schuyler van alen
and her freind Oliver go all around the world running away from the conclave because the conclave thinks
that schuyler was the one who killed her grandfather when she really didnt. Then Jack goes toParis where
Schuyler and Oliver are disguised as tourists telling Schuyler that the conclave is not going after her anymore
Just a Dream
The book I am blogging about is called Just a Dream by Chris Van Allsburg. It is about a boy who isn't very eco-friendly. He liters and he doesn't recycle. His favorite show is about a boy in the future and they have flying cars and lots of cool things like that. When he pictured the future he always thought of his favorite show. He always wanted to dream about the future. But one night when he went to bed right after watching his favorite show he wished extra hard and that night he went into the future. He went to eight different locations but none of them were how he pictured the future to be. His street was distroyed. The grand canyon was too fogged up to even see it. When he got back he changed he started to recycle and be more eco-friendly. That night he went into the future again but this time it still wasn't like his favorite show but it was a world where everything was clean. I thought the lesson or moral of the story was how you treat the earth today will influence the earth in the future. I think at first the author thought of the main character as a trouble maker and not someone you would want to be around but as the story went on I think the author found him as someone who you would want to be around. I think the author's purpose was to tell people to always treat the earth well so it can be around for a long time.
Hope you enjoyed my blog!!!!!

The lightning thief...!!!
This week i am reading a book called the lightning thief. I have only been reading this book for one day so there is not as much to talk about then there would be... !
I think this author wrote this book so people can understand some more on Greek gods and goddesses. This story is about a boy named Percy Jackson. Percy at first does not know he is a demigod. A demigod is a someone that is a son of a real god. Percy does not know that cause in there world Zeus does not let gods see their children.
Most of the teachers in Percy's school are demigods. When Percy finds out what he was him and his friend needed to hide in a special camp. This camp only allows people like Percy. His family is not like him so they cant go to the camp, so its just him and his friend...
The reason Percy goes here is because the gods think he is the thief that stole the lightning bolt from Zeus. Percy really did not steal it, but because they think so Percy's mom has been taken to the underworld where the devil lives and burns anything exiting in lava. Now him and his two friends are headed down to safe his mother from dying.
Thanks :)

On the Shores of Silver Lake
Dear readers,
On the shores of silver lake by Laura Ingalls wilder is about a girl, named Laura because this book is about the writers life. She has three sisters, Mary(the oldest and blind), Carrie (about 7), and grace (younger then Carrie about 2), and also ma and pa. They have all been sick except for Laura and pa. that's how Mary turned blind. One day aunt Docia came she had drove all the way from Wisconsin to the rail road camps in Dakota territory. She came to see if pa would go with her. Her husband, uncle hi, wanted a good storekeeper, bookkeeper, and timekeeper and pa could have the job. It payed 50 dollars a month she said. (and that was a lot for back then). But they were all sick. So pa just went and they stayed till they were all better. When they were all better they went on the train for the very first time. When they got to the railroad makings they stayed in a little shack. Pa worked the store until the railroad was done. After all the workers left they got to live in the surveyors house because the surveyor moved on to mark another piece of land. And that's all I've read so far but its still a really good book.
I think the authors purpose was to talk about her life when she was growing up and how you can have adventures any time you lived. One of the authors word choices where "at sunset the whole large lake was covered with birds of all kinds speaking in every kind of birds voice to each other before they went to sleep on a nights rest on their long journey from north to south." This is the 5 book out of the whole series which is like 10 or 9 books. i think its really good and imaginative on how it would be like growing up in the 1800's.
Miles To Go
Dear Readers,
I have been reading this book miles to go and it really good book.i like this book because it's just right for me and i like the book.whats happening in the book is that...she talks about her life and especially her younger life! And how she became star i think she write this book because she want to share her life with people who is reading this book.i think she enjoy working with her dad because her dad helps with her music.
Miley Cyrus (author) is really trying to tell me about her life and understand what she saying how she became a star and she doesn't want people to know who she is and i understand because that was her dream and she doesn't want to lose your dream i think i understand why the author wrote this book, because the author is trying to tell us how dream can be hard sometimes and wishing for a big dream

The Vampire Diaries
The book I am now reading is called 'The Vampire Diaries the awakening'. I think the author (L.J. Smith)wrote this book was because she likes vampires and she wanted others to too.
When the author wrote 'I don't know. Maybe it's terminal and his days are numbered. would't that be romantic?' (Bonnie Elenas BFF said that) I imagend Elena being there when Stefan was dying and Elena was in tears. But from prior Twilight knogle I know that Stefan is for shore a vampire and he doesn't have a sickness where he has to wear his sunglasses everywhere beacause vampires don't get sick they can't. So I think that the author L.J. Smith wrote that to prove how clueless every one is about the new boy Stefan who wear his shades inside. And that no one would even think one bit that he possibly could be a vampire.
I think that this perticuler author wrote this book because she really liked vampires and thought that they were reallya intresting kind kind to write about. And she love to write so she just probably went for it.
I think that the author used the title 'The Vampire Diaries' because if you read the book you'll see that its from every ones point of view and every thing the vampires hear and think its right in the book and if you were a vampire who would right in a diarie whats on the page is most likely what youed write. So iI would have named it the vampire diaries too.

well here we go
Edward and Bella have a small wedding at the Cullen's house after the wedding ...Bella and Edward go on their honey moon on Esme's island! Bella finds out that she is pregnant with a half vampire half human baby that is a girl. they name her Renesmee Cullen because Renee is Bella's moms name and Esme is Edwards moms name!i think that this part is important to the author because it really gets everyone interested in the book!because no one knew that there was such thing as a half vampire!
when Bella is giving birth to Renesmee she(Bella) has to be turned into a vampire because she cant handle all the pain since Renesmee is ripping up her bones:( so since Bella is a newborn vampire she cant see Renesmee till she is about ready to handle seeing a human or half human!finally Bella gets to see Renesmee she sees Renesmee and of course falls in love with her in a motherly kind of love but Jacob falls in love with renesmee in a boyfriend and girlfriend kind of love! Bella gets mad at Jacob at first but then she doesn't really care that much! the picture i saw in my head was of bella hapily holding renesmee knowing that everyone is safe and happy!
so Bella and Jacob take Renesmee hunting and Irene sees Renesmee and thinks she is a immortal and since Irene is currently mad at the Cullen's since they killed her friend Laurent she goes and tells the volturi!which gets the volturi mad even though Renesmee isn't a immortal she is a half human half vampire baby but Irene doesn't know that! the volturi get mad and they bring everyone and come hunting after the Cullen's! so Edward and Bella Cullen and the rest of the Cullen's and werewolf's find witness's to explain and prove that Renesmee is not an immortal....the volturi comes and they find out Renesmee is not an immortal and everything is okay! the picture i saw in my mind was all the witness with renesmee standing on one side and then all the volturi and irene on the other side!
i think that in this book the suthor stephenie myer saw that there needed to be something new to concentrate on other then just vampires fighting so to have a new born baby in the bok that was half human half vampire is really cool so i think she did a very good job on everything like she always is!
thank you for reading my blog

Dead Girls' Dance (Second book out of The MorganVille Vampires)
Now a fraternity is throwing its annual Dead Girls' Dance and-surprise!-Claire and her equally outcast best friend Eve (which is another on of her roommate) has been invited to this party by a guy Claire ran into at the campus coffee shop. When they find out why, all bad things are going to break lose. Because this time both the living and the dead are coming out, and everybody is starving for blood.
In the book Dead Girls' Dance I am at the part where Eve is going crazy because she wants to go kill Oliver (which is a vampire) to get Shane. They put Shane in a cage that is really small, small enough he cannot stretch out. He is in there because Oliver and Amelie (head vampire) thinks that Shane had something to do with the death of Brandon. (a vampire) When really Shane had nothing to do with it. Micheal has locked Eve in her room because if she is out she will run away to save Shane and risk the chances of dying. And Micheal will not let Eve die. Claire is going to a house that she had accidentally visited before, because that was where Amelie was. Claire is going there to convince Amelie that Shane had nothing to do with the death of Brandon.
The Vampire Diaries The Return: Shadow Souls
I am reading The Vampire Diaries The Return: Shadow Souls.By L.J. Smith. You have probably heard of this Series before because some people in my class have read it too. I am on page 142 and sorta started over trackout. Anyways, In the third book of the seris Stefan Salvatore Elenas Boyfriend (who is a vampire) Was captured by 2 demons name Misaio and Shinichi. So, in the begining of the fourth book the one I am reading now Damon Salvatore ( Stefans brother he is a vampire too)Is on a road trip with Elena to the underworld to get Stefan from the Demons. And also another person is in on the trip and his name is Matt Honeycutt and he is Elenas old boyfriend who would do anything for her.( He is human) So Elena is in love with Stefan but on the way she starts to fall in love with Damon who wants her to be his Princess of Darkness. But Matt sees Elena and Damon kissing and runs off back to his house because of his fustration. So that was a major negative on the road. Another negative is Shinichi is still not done with Damon, he takes Damons memories so he can't remember what happened on a very important night. The only thing he remembers is who Elena is and where Stefan is hidden in the underworld( A place called Shi no Shi for vampires and Demons) and how to get there and where the keys are hidden to Stefans Cell in the Shi no Shi. that is how far ive gotten but here are some Questions and Answers.
- The picture I had in my mind was when Elena had a OBE ( Out of Body Expeirence) And she was with Stefan in his jail cell at the Shi no Shi. Though she was only a spirit and her real body was asleep in the car. But she could still talk to Stefan. But this is the cool part they were both thinking about each other so that was why Elena had an OBE.I thought it was her in her lace nightgown and Stefan in his ragged clothes and how embarrassed he must have felt. And how Elenas tears were dripping from her pail face onto his flushed face. And how the jail cell was made of cold iron and was unbreakbly strong. And how sad but romantic the moment was.
-I think L.J. Smith cares alot about Damon because she wrote Stefan away to let Elena and Damon spend more time together. And that is alot of time.
Thank you sooooo much for reading!!!:):):)Have a great day!!!
Katie:)
Inkheart
Dustfinger Capricorn and Basta (his REALLY loyal and evil henchmen) are all summoned from the book on accident while he read it to Meggie (as a young girl) and you wont believe what happens from summoning them? his wife (Teresa or "Resa") is sucked in!!!
After escaping they find the author Fenoglio and try to get him to give him the last copy of the book that summoned Capricorn (Fenoglios pride and joy in all the books he wrote) as they were burnt so Capricorn can stay in this story (our world).
After being kidnapped again (with Fenoglio too) Are set to be executed...but Meggie can read too!
(Her father was not kidnapped, Bastas fatal flaw is that he is extremely superstitious) and then they find out that Fenoglio can write a story to control the world around them if Meggie reads it!
They are later to summon "the shadow" (I almost screamed at the description) to kill themselves or they will die a death of bleeding (a bad one BTW) So Fenoglio rewrites that page and she is supposed to summon him to kill Capricorn (she can't so Mo sneaks in and does)
Mo must have no feelings....
This story is cool because it has a interesting twist, when the stuff is read out of the book (with one minor exception) it is lost, sometimes it can't breath or is missing its love (the Nutcracker) and with the help of Fenoglio can even have a Happy ending! If Winnie the pooh bear came out, would he want to play? or sit in a corner and mope about his lost friends (a debate handled in the book) and some of these made me cry (read the end of that book about the paper ballerina and the nutcracker...comment if u know the real name) and were some what fixed so Meggie would not hurt anything (she has a guilty conscience).
Another is how much fate is put in this story, is our world but another one? lying on the shelf of a super beetle with laser vision's library? Can you tamper with it? Rewrite the story so everyone has a happy ending, or is it to late? when the books timeline ends can the story be rewritten so that it really happened? (Does this even make sense too you?)
This book was made to show stuff the way they really would be, a animal (like a fairy) would be lost here, bumping its head against a window over, and over, and over again, till fate catches up and finished its story.
The author is probably proud at how much this enigma made readers think and how the villain was no stereotype, but a man with no feelings, guilt, and respect and would remind me of Al Qaeda in the real world! This story is the most realistic fiction i have ever read!!!!
